Simplicity tastes so good sometimes. Can anyone else relate? Fresh fruit. Crisp cucumber. Juicy piece of steak. I commend the Japanese for their simplicity. My favorite type of Japanese simplicity, sushi. So simple, yet so good.
Sheet of Nori
Slices of Cucumber, Carrot, Bell Pepper or anything else your heart desires
Take nori sheet and spread mashed avocado all over. (This is the perfect time to add salt and spiced if desired.) Then like a burrito, add ingredients down the center. Wrap the nori around the ingredients and the avocado should act as the adhesive. Enjoy!
Apologies, I didn’t mean to turn this into a dessert blog. I can’t help it, I’m a baker! My scientific side comes out when I bake. I’ve always related with the saying, “Cooking is and art. Baking is a science.” This being said, today I will bring out the artistic side. Starting with a basic seaweed salad. Enjoy!
Salmon Seaweed Salad
1/2 c Seaweed Salad
1/2 c Chopped Salad Mix
1/2 can Alaskan Salmon (drained)
Sliced Bell Peppers
Take all your ingredients. Mix ’em up together. Drizzle with lemon juice. Taadaa!!! Who wants to pay 8 bucks for a seaweed salad at the Sushi Restaurant? Not me!
